A typical solution to ward off the breeding of the insects in the buds of the plants consists of neem (Azadirachta indica), turmeric (Curcuma longa), cows urine and cowdung. Pound neem leaves 3 kg into fine powder, add turmeric 300 g, cow urine 5 l, and cowdung 5 kg. Add water 20 L, mix well, and leave the solution to stand for two days. After filtering this solution through a cloth, dilute in 200 l of water and spray on the crop. Apart from bringing the insects under control, presence of of cow urine cowdung in the solution prevents many diseases.
