For control of aphid and heliothis in cotton crop, 100 g black cumin (Vernonia anthelmintica), 100 gm seed of neem (Azadirachta indica), 250 g of garlic (Allium sativum), 100 g kadvu kariyatu and 100 gm marrejavo (Enicostemma littorale) are mixed together. Add 2 L of water to the mixture and boil it. Boil till the mixture remains half in volume. Filter the decoction through a clean cloth. Store the filtrate in a tin and close it. Whenever necessary, take 100 g of this solution in spray pump and spray it on the infested cotton crop, this destroys small flies and caterpillar infecting the crop. Spray the solution once again after 15 days, this controls 70 to 90% of infestation. This preparation can last for one and half year.
