To cure heliothis problem in castor (Ricinus communis) crop, 5 kg seeds of wheat (Triticum aestivum) are boiled and cooled. Thereafter, the seeds are spread uniformly into the field. 5 kg seeds of wheat are used in 0.24 ha of land. The birds are attracted and eat away the heliothis along with the seeds of wheat. Thus, the castor crop is saved from the heliothis infestation. Heliothis is green in colour and frequently afflicts the crop. The heliothis consumes the leaves and fruits and cause extensive damage to the castor crop.
