A filtrate made from the branches of kheemp (Lepadenia pyrotechnica)to control blight in the cumin crop. Sukhdev Kumhar from the Ajmer district in Rajasthan prepared a filtrate with the branches of kheemp(Lepadenia pyrotechnica) to control blight in the cumin crop. Kumhar could not control blight in his cumin field despite having used all the recommended insecticides. At last he experimented with an indigenous method. He kept five to seven kilogrammes of the branches of kheemp(Lepadenia pyrotechnica) in an open water tank. After a week the filtrate was sprinkled over the crop. This resulted in about 80 % control of the disease. Keep 5 to 7 kg of the branches of kheemp (Lepadenia pyrotechnica) in an open water tank. After a week sprinkle the filtrate over the crop.
