Increasing yield in vegetable, fruit and ornamental crops through the use of human hair. P Subbiah from the Dindigul district in Tamil Nadu increases the yield in vegetable, fruit and ornamental crops by appling human hair to them. Subbiah collects the waste hairs and applies them to the vegetable, fruit and ornamental crops. He digs a round pit around the plant or tree and dumps the hairs in it.Subbiah uses half a kilogramme of hairs for ornamental plants and one kilogramme for fruit trees. In the case of fruit trees, the application is done one month after the planting and also 45 days before the fruiting.
