About the Practice
Detail:

A mixture of the dried flowers of butter tree (Madhuca indica) and cotton ball to compensate for the scarcity of green fodder. Gajubhai Gemabhai Parmar from the Vejpura village in the Savli taluka in Baroda district in Gujarat feeds a mixture of the dried flowers of butter tree (Madhuca indica) and cotton ball to compensate for the scarcity of green fodder during summer. Parmar boils two kilogrammes of the dried flowers of butter tree with cotton balls and feeds it to cattle. Only a few farmers in this region use this practice. Feeding animals with cotton seed and seed cake is a much more common practice. Farmers believe that feeding cotton ball soaked in water makes separation of butterfat from the animals milk easier.Boil 2 Kg of the dried flowers of butter tree (Madhuca indica) with cotton balls and feed it to cattle. Alternatively the animal can also be fed cotton balls soaked in water
