PurshottamaRao from the Shimoga district in Karnataka makes a spray from the leaves of mukkadaka(Lasiosiphoneri ocephalus) or kasaraka or Poison nut (Strychnosnux vomica) or neem(Azadirachta indica) or centuryplant(Agave americana) to control diseases and pests in plants. Rao collects the leaves of mukkadaka(Lasiosiphoneri ocephalus) or Poison nut or neem or centuryplant in a bucket and adds 10 litres of boiled water to it. The mixture is allowed to ferment for a day. Next morning, the fermented solution is kept in sunlight and Rao removes the leafy residue from it.
