Salt solution to ensure better germination and yield of cumin. AmbarambhaiTarshibhaiSanghani from the Surendranagar district in Gujarat applies a coat of salt water to cumin seeds to ensure better germination. Sanghani dissolves around 250 gm of salt in a 1/2 lit of water . This solution is used to treat 10 kg of cumin seeds. This treatment is also believed to increase the yield.
