The innovator uses the powder of wood apple (Limoniaaci dissima) leaves. He first dries the grains, to be stored, in the sun and then keeps the grain in a cool dry place. Next, he puts the leaves of wood apple to dry, He then powders the dried leaves. He mixes this powder with the grain in the proportion of 500 gm to 100 kg. The grains are then safely stored in the granary. The grains stored in this manner do not get spoilt for 5 to 6 years.
