Detail:

The innovator sows an old root of spine gourd along with a new one to reap a rich harvest. If the sowing is done with one root of old spine gourd along with the root of new spine gourd, then the growth of the new plant is also very rapid and it yields fruit very early. Under this method, the yield is almost double that of the conventional practice. Its fruit also fetch a good price in the market. He first soaks the stock of old roots in salt water, dries them and keep them buried in soil. The burying is done to keep the roots away from sunlight.
