To save the corn crop from the insect pest, the branches of jatropha and swallow wart are cut and brought to the infested corn field. Branches are placed at intervals of four to five feet on the border of the affected field. The branches should be two feet high. If the collection of branches available is not of the desired height, then branches of one and a half feet height could be used at closer intervals. This saves the Corn crop. Placing these branches just once controls the insects and saves the crop.
