Kalabhai Ragnathbhai Chaudhari from the Banaskantha district in Gujarat suggests a practice to prevent blight in groundnut. Chaudhari soaks 20 kg of groundnut seeds in the solution of 250 gm of Asafoetida (Serula foetida) dissolved in two litres of water. The seeds are soaked for 12 hours and then sowed. Soak 20 kg of groundnut seeds in a solution made out of 250 gm of Asafoetida (Serulafoetida) dissolved in 2 L of water. The seeds are soaked for 12 hours and then sowed.
