He crushes the leaves and mixes 500 millilitre of the extract with 40 kilogrammes of grains to be preserved. Then the grains are dried and filled in big earthen pots. Clerodendrum phlomides is found in hilly areas. According to Charpot many farmers in his area use the extract for preserving grains. Detail Crush the leaves of arni (Clerodendrum phlomides) and mix 500 millilitre of this extract with 40 kilogrammes of grains to be preserved. Dry the grains and fill in big earthen pots.
