The Ban tulshi or Bonpland's croton (Croton bonplandianus) plant used as a fuel and a detergent.People from the rural areas of Malda, West Bengal, make use of Ban tulshi or Bonpland's croton (Croton bonplandianus) both as a fuel and a detergent. The Bonpland's croton plant is grown abundantly in the rural areas of Malda. Initially the stems and branches of Bonpland's croton are used as fuel. Then they collect the ash and store it in a bottle for five or six days. The ash is mixed in warm water and used as a detergent for cleaning cotton garments.Use the stems and branches of Ban tulshi or Bonpland's croton (Croton bonplandianus) as fuel.
