Laxmanbhai Ganeshbhai Thaloda from the Bhavnagar district of Gujarat uses the leaves of kidamari or Wormkiller (Aristolochia bracteata) and arani (Clerodendrum multiflorum) plants to keep animals and insects away from the seeds of ram tal or black sesame. Thaloda treats the seeds with a mixture of the juice of crushed leaves of Wormkiller and arani plants to keep stray animal and insects away. It is believed that this treatment makes the plant poisonous, and so animals don't eat it.
