Gurucharan singh from Hoshiarpur has developed a highly efficient machine which can wash 50 quintals of carrots in 45-60 minutes effectively. Field performance of the machine has inspired other farmers to adopt the machine for carrot washing. Due to its high cost, it is not possible for every vegetable grower to purchase it, that is why, it is being provided for its use on custom-hiring basis in the region.
