Street sweepers play an important role in maintaining the health and hygiene in the cities. This job exposes street sweepers to a variety of risk factors such as dust, bioaerosols, volatile organic matter and mechanical stress, which make them susceptible to certain occupational diseases. The important morbid conditions detected in these workers include the diseases of the respiratory system and eye, accidents, injuries, cuts and wounds, skin infections, animal bites, etc. At present, the standards and norms for the management of municipal solid wastes in industrialized countries have substantially reduced the occupational health impacts. However, in developing countries, the health-related underpinnings of solid waste management still need to be addressed. Workers manually collect the wastes. There is little, if any, protection to workers from direct contact and injury and virtually no dust control at the workplaces. In India, the traditional culture has stigmatized street sweeping as a filthy and lowly occupation. So in order to solve all these above stated problems Super Sweeper is being designed. Super sweeper is mainly designed to solve the difficulties faced in the waste collection process like hygiene problem of street workers and inability of garbage trucks to reach to the narrow streets.
Super Sweeper has structure like grass cutter machine which consist of following components which are Push handle, flapper brush ,rotating shaft ,gears, rubber wheels and waste collection polybag. On pushing the push handle wheels rotates which rotates the wheel shaft and, this rotary movement of wheel is sensed by gear and this motion is transmitted to pinion which is further transmitted to brush. The rotary motion of flapper brush collects the solid waste when it comes in contact with the ground .Now, as the machine moves forward, the another set of pinion obtains the rotary motion from gear connected to the wheel shaft and it starts conveying waste dumped by the brush to the waste collecting bag placed after the collecting brush system. The bag is completely filled it is then taken out of storage bin and dumped into the garbage collecting truck .And thus there is no direct contact of dust or waste to the hands of street cleaners.

It comprises of Western, India toilets, taps with water saving technology, panic button in case of emergencies, digital feedback system, and trained female attendant. The buses are also enhanced by Solar operated lights. Other facilities provided in the TiC are Wi-Fi connectivity, diaper changing area, sanitary napkin dispenser, roof top ventilation and fire alarm system. This facility can be connected to the existing urban utilities and drain lines that lead to the Sewage Treatment Plants thereby reducing the dependencies of daily evacuation of waste. We also provide facility for selling female hygiene products and space for a café along with health centers. This level of service and quality is not generally available in communal facilities. We wish to implement similar project in (CITY) and improve the level of sanitation and health of Women. "
