Low cost vehicle for Physically Handicapped
Dhanjibhai had always wanted to drive a scooter but it seemed practically impossible for a man without two feet and a hand. But his determination to fulfill his dream finally led him to ride a scooter fitted with some self-designed modifications. As he could not hold the handle with two hands and keep balance, he began on experiments to convert a two-wheel scooter into a four-wheel one. He got 2 auto rickshaws wheels and one strongman pipe and set on the job. With an angle, he got two more wheels attached to the rear of the scooter. Kamalbhai rode that scooter for two days and and approved of it.The two rear wheels were kept a little higher so that the vehicle did not skid. This whole experiment took about three months. It took Dhanjibhai three days to learn driving. He had spent Rs.3000/- on this experiment. Dhanjibhai is very grateful to his friends who always helped and supported him. As he does not like to be dependent on anyone, Dhanjibhai now wants to design an auto-start scooter.
