Increasing the Life Span of Hand Pump

Detail:

The New Design : In 5 H.P oil engine the liner inside the cylinder is usually discarded in the old engine. Therefore procured the liner measuring about 1 feet length and thickness of 4 mm. He fitted this liner / sleeve inside the body of the hand pump (Above the ground level). The liner has been fixed by welding or through making grooves on both side of liner tube locally called _x001C_thread_x001D_ making. This type of the liner with hand metal withstand frequent motion of piston and resists any damage of cylinder. Dissemination : Sri. Selvam after using his model very well satisfied. His neighbours found his innovation is worth while and approached for this alteration in their hand pumps. Over the last 3 years he has made such modification in 150 hand pumps / bucket pumps. However this innovation is not at all known to hand pimp users in other district. Sri.Selvam is now planning to use this liner system in 0.5 _x0013_ 1 H.P motor operated bore well pump. By using this model motor alone is sufficient to lift water and there is no need for fitting pump. Therefore the cost of pump (up to Rs.4,000) can be saved in this proposed idea.
