Large amounts of farmer’s income spend on the fuel for irrigation of field. This innovation can reduces the spending on the fuel to about 60 %. Thus the reduction in the fuels spending is the increase in the income of farmer Source: http://nif.org.in/innovation/Power_-Saving_-Technical_Pump/89
Power-Saving Technical (PST) pump set was developed by Mr. Ram Naresh Yadav with the help received from IIT Kanpur. It is available in three models: Jal Dhara, Kishan Jal Dhara and Pawan Jal Dhara with 1KW and 3KW. It can be operated at any source of water and can draw water from well, stream, pond, canal etc. In case of electricity, the saving is 60%, oil engine 60%, cattle power 100%, and solar power 60-70%. It’s easy to operate and durable. It is easy to operate and durable and can be used for long term.
Link: It can save the energy on average of more than 60 % in the form of fuel. It could also be operated on animal or human power, solar. It means it can save or reduce the cost of irrigation by 60%, which may increase in income of the farmer. Although, it consume less fuel but its output wouldn’t change.
