In today’s era automation plays a very important role in all industrial applications for the proper disposal of sewage from industries and household is still a challenging task. Drain pipes are used for the adequate disposal of waste and unfortunately sometimes there may be a threat to human life during the cleaning of blockage in the drain pipes or it can cause serious health issues because of the pertaining problems like malaria, dengue, etc. This is unsafe for human life and hence the idea of this project emerged. The objective of the proposed project is to design and fabricate an automated machine for drainage cleaning in order to prevent humans from getting affected by various diseases from the infectious microbes present in the sewage while cleaning manually. This proposed system is to minimize or overcome the problem faced while using man operated machine and to minimize the increased dumping rate of waste. In order to overcome this problem as well as to save human life we implement a design “DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF SEWAGE CLEANER”. We designed our project in order to use it in an efficient way to control the disposal of waste along with regular filtration of drains, removal of solid waste in order to avoid blockage in drains to promote continuous flow of drainage water which ultimately reduces the threat to human life. The Earlier existing system is completely a mechanical based project. It is a stationary system, simply kept in the sewage area to collect the wastes passing over it. The chain and sprocket is used for conveyor movement, which has fitted fork plates to collect the wastes from the sewage. Where as in our project the machine is placed above the ditches and the solid wastes are picked by a robot arm, the solid wastes are disposed off in a tray, placed below the machine. Where the wastes are stored and disposed off safely .But the earlier method is to dispose the solid wastes (polythene bags, waste food items) out in the street which may cause illness to the people around. In order to overcome this problem the solid wastes are placed on a tray and disposed off safely. Water is the basic need for the existence of life on earth. In spite of 70% water on earth, majority of water is not suitable for drinking purpose. There is a huge demand of clean water as it is used for a variety of purpose such as drinking, bathing, cleaning, cooking etc. Impurities present in water can cause serious health issues that damage the life of human beings. The Solid waste in drainage water includes empty bottles, polythene bags, papers, etc. Impurities in drainage water can lead to blockage of the drainage system. In order to remove the solid wastes in the ditches without the human assistance this system is implied. Today the municipality workers are employed in removing the solid wastes out of the ditches by doing this they are exposed to bad smell. And also they are affected with different types of skin diseases.
